The Challenge

In the wake of five self-managed transformation projects globally with unfavourable outcomes, our client - a Fortune 100 company - required a large-scale restructuring expert with benchmarked change management strategy to mitigate brand, people, culture, and operational risks, in a set timeframe. We had to meet strict requirements for due diligence and industry compliance, business, and operational continuity.

The PROCESS

PeopleNet oversaw high level strategy development and project execution. We partnered with the organisation’s leaders both from head office in the USA and the SLT in Australia to optimise strategic decision-making. We designed an end-to-end change management strategy, including risk management and mitigation plans. We partnered with the SLT to deliver key communication and execute the critical first 100-days of change implementation, complete with reporting to track outcomes. We supported all impacted employees with bespoke career transition management, while mitigating engagement and retention risks for ‘non-impacted’ employees navigating survivor syndrome.

The OUTCOME

Benchmarked as global best practice for the company, the transformation and restructure delivered a significant 20% increase in productivity, where previous self-managed change projects resulted in productivity declines of over 50%. We delivered business continuity, an outcome of strong employee engagement, which resulted in no lost time, zero absenteeism, no IR issues, no workers compensation claims, no media exposure, no operation or supply issues, and no retention or employee attraction issues. Post-transformation employee engagement survey results improved by 17%.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

The Challenge

Our client requested a road map for the ANZ implementation of the company’s global agile transformation within a set timeframe. We had to meet strict requirements for due diligence and industry compliance, business, and operational continuity.

The PROCESS

PeopleNet delivered high level strategy and project execution using tailored leading design features, alongside proven strategy, and techniques for this unprecedented organisation transformation. The strategy and design included innovative features to enable the senior leaders to navigate the complexity and nuances of the change. Our client had dabbled in small change projects across the organisation over the past decade with limited success. The focus had always been on the new system or new processes.
